LEMURIA. EASTER ISLAND.

Easter Island is 2,300 miles from Chile & it’s 1200 miles to the nearest island to the west – all alone in the vast pacific. It’s best known for the huge statues – some 70 are feet high –they once stood around the island on gigantic platforms made from rocks of 2 to 20 tons. Today there about 200 statues but estimates are that there were once 900 of them

Another source for information besides Churchward and Cayce is Lewis Spence, the researcher whom I earlier. He wrote several very informative books on Atlantis but he also spent a great deal of time on Pacific Islands and communicating with the native people about the myths and legends of their past and investigating the hundreds of megalithic ruins. Spence states that from his research he believes Lemuria was several large islands in the Pacific and one was adjoining Peru. It’s always exciting for me when an academic like Lewis Spence confirms what Edgar Cayce said. Spence believes that among the aboriginal people of the Pacific the number and consistency of myths and CHRONICLES of a former seafaring civilization are just as striking as the traditions of Atlantis – classical and otherwise.

Easter Island is only 7miles wide and ll miles long – too tiny to support a population to build these statues and their platforms. Natives told first Europeans they believe their island was the only part of the Motherland not covered by the sea.

This is a Talking Board from Easter Island. In 1868 the newly converted Easter Islanders sent to the Bishop of Tahiti, as a token of respect, an ancient piece of wood with long strands of human hair wrapped around it. After removing the hair, the Bishop discovered that the small board was covered with writing.

When the first Europeans arrived in Easter Isl. inthe 18th century the natives had 100s of these tablets. No one was interested in them and now only 21 worldwide.   Writing-Rongorongo.  It has never been deciphered.   Notice the orderly appearance of the elegant writing It indicates a refined system that have taken a very long time to emerge, evolve & flourish. If you think about it, there was no need to develop a script like this on isolated Easter island which one could walk across in just a few hours. Lewis Spence, who lived on the island for some time, believed it was invented to facilitate communication over extensive areas. He also pointed out the art & organization on Easter Isle couldn’t have developed without commerce,,, but it’s now very far from other islands.  So we’re back to a sea faring civilization and a variety of large islands. I think Lemuria was not just one land mass but a series of kingdoms based on islands

How did I become interested in Atlantis?

It all started when I was very young. As a child, for some reason, I was SURE there was a land in the Atlantic Ocean called Atlantis. I can remember my Mother telling me I was wrong, and finally getting out a map and showing me there was no such place. I didn’t forget it

The country was lovely, in spite of the instability caused by earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. Who Lived in Atlantis So Long Ago?

The people who lived in Atlantis were basically very similar to us. Just as intelligent, they laughed, loved and grew angry, although they had more highly developed psychic abilities. Many Atlanteans thought one’s life should be 50% material and 50% spiritual. During the long civilization there were many who spent an immense amount of time
